GATE OF WISDOM COLLEGE OF BAGUIO is an e-college that offers a distance learning and an ESL (English as Second Language) tutorial with an interactive program. It is an answer to the economic crises of today and also for the influx of Asians who may wish to learn the English language in a very simple way! An education in which students take academic courses by accessing information and communicating with the instructor asynchronously over a computer network. Also called distance education. The home base is in Baguio City, Philippines, the Summer Capital of the Philippines, where this college gives every out-of-school youths even every Filipino the privilege and chance to afford a 4-Year College course without any tuition fee. This is tuition-free, a love offering though of very minismal amount monthly is requested for its maintenance. It is not in any way operating as a business for profit but a combined ministry of Endtimes Updates Pinoypedia Publication and Faith Baptist Assembly (Baguio City), Inc.

This tuition-free school is part of our community services under the constitutional rights given to religious organizations by the 1987 Constitution of the Philippines, Bill of Rights, Art. 3, Sec. 5: “No law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed. No religious test shall be required for the exercise of civil or political rights.” The 1987 Constitution of the Philippines declares: The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable. (Article II, Section 6)

By passing through the numerous phases of colonial occupation, the relationships between religions and government in the Philippines has repeatedly changed. The country had close ties between Roman Catholic Church and the government during the Spanish colonial period from 1565 to 1898. This changed with the separation of church and state of the Philippine republic of 1899. Religious freedom was introduced during the American colonial period of the early 20th century and is preserved by state today. The U.S.A. educational system acknowledges the fact that the first education if done between the family and the church. The missionaries are the first educators. So there is no way that the Government may question a religious, non-profit school that operates for the welfare of the Filipino people for as long as its existence to its community is not hazardous to public health and safety.

Gate of Wisdom College of Baguio grants a religious bachelor’s degree, BACHELOR IN CHURCH ADMINISTRATION, a 4-year college course that is 50% Biblical Studies (Theology) and 50% secular education, Business (Church) Administration. We offer subjects like Bible Doctrines, Life of Christ, Homiletics, Apologetics, Hermeneutics, Greek and Hebrew, etc. and Computer Literacy (all softwares), English 1-5, Speech and Public Speaking, Music 1-3, Accounting 1 & 2, Church Applied Law, Management, Banking and Finance, Economics, Practical Arts (this is Practical Theology for tent-making purposes - Filmmaking, Photography, Visual Arts and Painting, Cooking and Food Preparations), and many more.
